Tireless Dedication to Our Community - Our February Hero!

Renfroe Outdoor, in conjunction with the Savannah Police Department, is proud to announce our newest honoree in the Savannah Heroes program! Each month, we will highlight a member of the local police force on our extensive digital billboard network for their outstanding work in serving and improving our communities.

This month we are proud to spotlight Cpl. Tiffany Fraser!

From the Savannah Police Department:

Cpl. Tiffany Fraser has been a dedicated member of the Savannah Police Department since 2013 and is currently assigned to the Training Unit, where she works to train and mentor the newest officers joining the department.

During Cpl. Fraser’s tenure, she has worked in patrol, special investigations and gang investigations. While on patrol, she was assigned to the Northwest Precinct. The assignment gave Cpl. Fraser experience in diverse situations and increased her ability to interact with diverse populations. She was able to learn the importance and value in proper response by utilizing a variety of resources to resolve issues that tourists, business owners, residents and the homeless population were experiencing at that time. This led to the development of valuable communication skills, investigative skills and situational awareness that would be vital in her upcoming assignments in special investigations and gang investigations.

Once assigned to the newly revamped gang unit, Cpl. Fraser worked endlessly day and night to develop information on a local street gang operating in Savannah at that time. She conducted hours of interviews, surveillance and information gathering that led to the first major gang indictment for the reformed unit.

Her career aspirations to shape and mold young officers, provide officers with the knowledge and skills needed for career growth, and to educate officers with training and techniques that will make them successful is exemplary. In her current assignment with the Training Unit, Cpl. Fraser works with the newest members of the department – the recruits. She is one of the first people they meet when they start their police training. She prepares them to enter the police academy and provides them with the tools and skills needed to successfully complete their training and move into their field training phase. In addition, Cpl. Fraser coordinates and is the lead instructor for the department’s in-service annual training. She coordinates with the instructors internally and externally to ensure officers receive the most updated training based off current law enforcement trends, laws, and policies and procedures. In 2022, 26 in-service training sessions were completed with nearly 400 officers in attendance.

Cpl. Fraser is an essential team member, an excellent example of a dedicated officer and a huge asset to the Savannah Police Department and the City of Savannah.

About the initiative:

Renfroe Outdoor is proud to partner with the Savannah Police Department in an initiative to honor our local heroes. Each month, this program will highlight an outstanding officer in our community chosen by the Savannah PD and recognize them across town with our digital billboard network.

It is of the opinion of the management of Renfroe Outdoor that most media outlets are too eager to cover the wrong stories relating to the police. While all public officials should be held accountable for their actions, there are far more positives that can be said about the local police than the negative. With this program, Renfroe Outdoor hopes to help foster a growing positive relationship between our citizens and the men and women who put themselves in danger to protect them each day.
