Renfroe Outdoor, in conjunction with the Savannah Police Department, is proud to announce our newest honoree in the Savannah Heroes program! Each month, we will highlight a member of the local police force on our extensive digital billboard network for their outstanding work in serving and improving our communities.

This month we are proud to spotlight Officer Seth Clever!

Although Officer Seth Clever is one of the newer officers on the Savannah Police Department, he wasted no time jumping into his beat and working with residents to build trust, which has already paid off in solving violent crime.
Officer Clever, who is originally from Ohio, moved to Savannah to join the Savannah Police Department in December 2019. Prior to joining the department, he worked as an Ohio corrections officer. From the start of his SPD career, Officer Clever implemented community policing practices in his every day duties while working his beat in Cuyler-Brownsville and Cann Park in Central Precinct. He made efforts to get to know the residents and business owners in his beat, resulting in an increased level of trust of not only Officer Clever but police as a whole. They trust Clever and call him to inform him of suspicious activity and crimes in progress. Recently someone called him to report a crime in progress, resulting in the recovery of multiple stolen vehicles, one of which had been taken in an armed robbery/carjacking just minutes prior. Had Officer Clever not taken the time and effort to engage with those in his beat and form those relationships, that case might not have had such a successful outcome.
Officer Clever comes to work every day with a positive attitude and determined focus on his job of serving the community. Although he is still a newer officer, he finds time to mentor others who need assistance and uses his communications skills to deescalate situations.

About the initiative:
Renfroe Outdoor is proud to partner with the Savannah Police Department in an initiative to honor our local heroes. Each month, this program will highlight an outstanding officer in our community chosen by the Savannah PD and recognize them across town with our digital billboard network.
It is of the opinion of the management of Renfroe Outdoor that most media outlets are too eager to cover the wrong stories relating to the police. While all public officials should be held accountable for their actions, there are far more positives that can be said about the local police than the negative. With this program, Renfroe Outdoor hopes to help foster a growing positive relationship between our citizens and the men and women who put themselves in danger to protect them each day.
